It was an afternoon viewing that really made me realize that I love Gus Van Sant's work. I was aware of the fact before but there was something about this particular watch session that had me transfixed. This was a new take on the 'drug cinema' genre that led into the 90s. Just so happens to be one of my favorite genres to explore.
In this episode I get into the Kurt Cobain connection via William Burroughs, the dark comedy, incredible fashion, and why this has been a cult classic for decades.
